Landslides & Tibetan Bridges (Day 11) ||EP 33

As our Tibetan plateau adventure nears its end, Episode 33 takes us through one of the most challenging yet rewarding legs of the journey. Starting 1,296 kilometers northeast of Lhasa, we attempt to cross the rugged Qilian Mountain range back into Qinghai. What begins as a regular travel day quickly turns treacherous. We face dozens of kilometers of slick, muddy roads that make driving dangerous, landslides that block our path, and washed-out bridges on detours.
But it's not just the landscape that defines this episode—our interactions with local people add depth to the experience. We meet traffic police, construction workers, fellow travelers, and friendly restaurant staff along the way, each playing a part in our journey through this unpredictable terrain. Along the route, we also come across beautiful Tibetan bridges, adorned with fluttering prayer flags, tucked deep within the mountains.
