Amazing and Sad! Never Before Seen Grave Markers! Hammock-Johnson Cemetery

Описание к видео Amazing and Sad! Never Before Seen Grave Markers! Hammock-Johnson Cemetery

On a road trip through Crawford County, Georgia, I stumbled upon a roadside cemetery that piqued my curiosity. Join me in this video as I take a closer look at this fascinating burial ground, uncovering some unique and mysterious grave markers along the way.

One of the most intriguing discoveries is a cast iron plaque, a type of grave marker I've never seen before. As I explore further, I come across the impressive obelisk-style grave marker of William H. Hammock. This monument also bears the name of his wife, but with only her birth date inscribed and no death date—a mystery that leads me to further research. It turns out that William's wife, despite being memorialized on the obelisk, is actually buried in Bibb County, Georgia, 42 years after William's death, and not here in Crawford County.

Another grave that caught my attention belongs to Frances Miriam Stripling Johnson. Her double headstone, shared with her husband, also lacks a death date for her. After some digging, I discovered that Frances and her husband were last documented together in the 1910 U.S. Federal Census in Crawford County, Georgia. Her husband seems to have preceded her in death, and Frances does not appear in any records beyond 1910, adding another layer of mystery to this cemetery.
