Hey everyone, welcome back. And in today’s video, we’re gonna be checking out one of the most popular antiviruses out there, Norton 360, which is known for its exceptional malware detection rates and advanced web protection features. So hearing that, I just had to put Norton to the test myself, and I actually found a lot of things that I really liked, most of which stem from their expansive list of bonus features. But at the same time, I also found a couple areas where it can see a bit of improvement, such as having to download separate apps for different features and then not having a free version of their service for people to try out. And so, in this video, I’ll be showing you everything it has to offer, how it performed in my test results, as well as my final verdict on the service. So as I mentioned earlier, Norton is one of the most popular antiviruses out there, and this popularity stems from having exceptional malware detection rates as well as tons of features to keep devices protected at all times. And so, Curiosity got the best of me, so I decided to put these claims to the test. I intentionally placed some harmful files on my computer, loaded with all sorts of threats, and started a complete system scan. And well, this basically confirmed the malware detection claims, as it finished in just around 40 minutes and flagged and dealt with every single piece of malware. Having done that in just 40 minutes is pretty impressive, as antivirus programs take at least an hour to complete a full device scan. And on the topic of scans, Norton does not just do full system scans. You can also do quick checks for temporary files, which is great if you’re connecting a new drive and wanna quickly check if it's clear. You can do a Wi-Fi network scan, which comes in handy if you connect to public WiFi often. And you have a custom scan for specific files, folders, or disks, which would save you some time because you're checking one location instead of running a full system check. Now, one thing I really liked about Norton is that it’s loaded with features compared to other VPNs. When it comes to the core antivirus features, you’re gonna have the Smart Firewall, Real Time Protection, and the Safe Web feature. Okay, so starting with the Smart Firewall feature, this firewall watches over two-way web traffic, protecting you from network intrusions and unauthorized connections. And what this means is that it watches everything coming in and out of your computer when connecting to other computers on the internet. During my tests, it detected every single intrusion attempt, which basically outperforms the built-in Windows firewall, as Windows Defender never had 100% detection rates. And the best part about this is that it runs silently in the background at all times and has a Stealth Mode, which effectively conceals all your network ports from prying eyes, making your system pretty much invisible to potential cybercriminals. Now, with all of that being said, would I recommend Norton? Well, absolutely. Now, it may have some areas that could be improved, such as having to download separate apps for its different bonus features. But overall, it still stands as a great antivirus, having real-time protection, exceptional malware detection rates, and great web security features. And on top of that, you’ll get a lot of bonus features that not only protect your data privacy but also optimize your devices for peak performance.
