It is important to be able to identify a winning product, as that is the lifeblood of your business.
Here we will talk about the anatomy of a winning product, and how you can recognise that you are on to a winner!
We look for:
1. Sales that have more sales than active listing
Sales / Active Listings X 100 = Sell Through Rate (Demand)
We look for a sell through rate of at least 100%
2. The profit Margin
Successful listings / Active Listings X 100 = Success Rate
We look for a 50% Success rate
3. Competitive Selling Price
Just make sure to match all 3 criterias above, you can rest assured that the product that you list will sell

Decision Making
If you check the items above, you need to find the balance between your selling price, and your Success and demand rates.
Understand that a higher price can impact the demand for a product as well as the success rate of the product.

Unique Selling Points
You need to look at your items that are selling successfully, and creating a minor variation to make your product unique to cater for a different market. This way you are competing on your product rather than competing on price.

If you are not able to find a USP from focusing on the model, colour or size, you can instead try and add value as your USP. The last option is to compete on price

We are looking at military watches in this example. We can filter out the data to the US only. From here, we manually evaluate the niche with our 3 criteria mentioned above.

Next, we show you what the same product looks like when you look inside of ZikAnalytics.
