First Time Reaction to Ren How to Be Me

I'm sure I didn't get the full meaning of this song first time around... Or even half of it. But I had a few thoughts on the subject, so I hope you enjoyed the reaction. Ren is such a masterful storyteller. So many songs I just listen to for the music and never even know the lyrics. How many songs have you been singing for YEARS and you never really know the lyrics??? When I hear Ren songs, I want to listen to them for the music AND the lyrics. I have a very analytical brain, and I want to understand everything... sometimes it's hard to shut off and just enjoy. But I definitely didn't fully understand this song so by all means, tell me what you think this song means in the comments.

As a veteran and someone who has struggled with mental health issues, of and on for most of my life, I find Ren's music cathartic and inspiring. He is a multifaceted artist and an amazing person. I am in awe of him. He is changing lives. I hope I can help others through my reactions, whether I amuse you or touch your heart. Ren was a large part of why I decided to stop procrastinating and do something I have been wanting to do for years, which is start a YouTube channel. And you guys have supported me every step of the way with your likes, subscribing to my channel, and most of all your encouraging words which have brought me to tears over and over again.

I do this to change my life, and the life of my girlfriend. I want to marry her, and I want to change OUR lives for the better, and to make our dreams come true. My number one dream would be financially free enough to travel the world together with her by my side and make travel videos. I hope this channel will be the means to make that happen.
