Hey everyone! Peter here.

In case you haven't heard, the U.S. presidential election is pitting two of the least popular candidates in DECADES. (On the plus-side, this has been the most fruitful election to date when it comes to memes and cynical internet humor). So it shouldn't be a surprise that people are becoming more inclined towards third parties. But there's a lot of people out there who argue that, thanks to Duverger's law and First-Past-The-Post, that the United States is guaranteed to have a two-party system. So, this week, we're going to look into whether or not it's true. And, like the election itself, the answer isn't all that clear cut.
