Solved Example of Vertical Curve (Crest Curve): Complete calculations of vertical parabolic curve

Описание к видео Solved Example of Vertical Curve (Crest Curve): Complete calculations of vertical parabolic curve

This video discusses the complete calculations of setting out of a vertical curve when the type of curve is a crest curve or summit curve. The elevations of different points on the curve are being calculated using the parabolic curve.

Following is the statement of Problem Solved:

A grade g1 of +3.00% intersects grade g2 of -2.40% at a vertex whose station and elevation are 52 + 30 and 742.57 ft, respectively. An equal-tangent parabolic curve 800 ft long has been selected to join the two tangents. Compute and tabulate the curve elevations at full stations. Also, compute the station and elevation of the curve’s high point.
