A Travelogue on the Road Trip to some of the offbeat and less explored parts of Odisha.
The first part is on Bangriposi. The tribal village located at the foothill of Thakurani hill range in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. The meaning of the name 'Bangriposi' is 'the beautiful daughter of the hills'. Bangriposi is such a place that it can be reached in just 4.5 hours' road journey by car from Kolkata, where a nature lover can get a blend of hills, jungles, river, water falls, dam and temple. The Simlipal forest is also close to this place. There is a resort at Bangriposi to stay, which is named after a famous tiger "Khairi".
The famous Bengali author Buddhadeb Guha penned a novel "Bangriposir Durattir" in the backdrop of Bangriposi.

The video covers our entire road journey from Kolkata to Bangriposi, the scenic beauty of Bangriposi, the Khairi Resort and the 1100 years' old Kichakeswari Temple, located at Khiching, whch was the ancient capital of Bhanja dysnasty of Odisha.
