The Sony ICF-5900W AM FM Shortwave portable radio is a classic analog radio that is a joy to own and tune. This receiver is an "industrial magnet" for fringe stations. A must own radio for the classic collector :)

Excellent Shortwave reception.
Dual Conversion Circuit.
Amazing MW reception.
Above average FM reception.
BFO for Single Side Band use.
Band Spread for Shortwave.
Bass/Treble controls.
Dial light.
Speaker audio is very good.
AFC switch for FM.
Pop Up Antenna.
DX/Local Switch for AM/SW.
Classic style.
Made in Japan.

Overall, if you can pick one of these radios up for under $150 in good shape, you will be in for a treat. This is one of my favorites, and will be stored with care until I can finish restoring it to perfection.
