¡Escalando Citlaltépetl!

Alex and I aim for the summit of Citlaltépetl in Mexico to conclude 2016.

"Pico de Orizaba", is a stratovolcano, the highest mountain in Mexico and third highest in North America. It rises 5,636m above sea level in the eastern end of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt. Orizaba is the second most prominent volcanic peak in the world after Africa's Mount Kilimanjaro.

Shot primarily on a brand new iPhone 7. I had to retire the previous 6S, as it's battery wasn't what it used to be. We carried two GoPros to the summit, however the weather rendered them completely useless.

Although not too technical of a route, the weather conditions and high altitude made this one tough endeavor! Big thanks to Señor Reyes for hospitality and logistical support, Anastasia for the urban tent in Mexico City, and the many friendly crews we met along the way!
