Описание к видео Lee Canyon May 27 2021

This video presents a few quick flights around the Lee Canyon area on Mount Charleston. The first clip was shot from the Sawmill Trailhead. The second and third clips were shot from the Lower Bristlecone Trail, which is fast becoming one of my favorites.

At roughly 2:15, you get a quick glimpse of the Lower Bristlecone Trail. I have mentioned a few times that I have a debilitating fear of heights. Up until recently, I always had to turn back much lower on the trail. Starting about 3 weeks ago, for some reason, I've been able to go farther and farther each time, and feel relatively comfortable. The spot you see on the trail is the farthest up I've ever made it. Whatever is responsible for this, I hope it continues.

(The reason I got a drone to begin with was not to make videos, but to allow me to see what everyone else sees. In addition to my fear of heights, I have severe osteoarthritis. The days when I could do serious hiking on the most difficult trails are long gone, and numerous trails have places where I have to turn around due to steep or sheer drop-offs. The first person view transmitted from the drone lets me travel, in a way, higher and farther than I otherwise could, and see beautiful views that would be beyond my reach.)
