Some game franchises are legendary. You have your Metal Gear Solids, your Final Fantasies, and your Street Fighters. However, one franchise had left its mark on the industry while at the same time having some major ups and downs. This franchise is Assassin's Creed. The first game and its direct sequel are often considered near-perfect gaming experiences. The open world, stealth mechanics, and combat kept each game exciting with a fair amount of replay value. Unfortunately, as the years went on and the popularity grew, the sloppiness of the game's developer started to rear its ugly head. Thankfully a few embarrassing bug-filled releases forced Ubisoft to course correct and the franchise started to regain its former glory.

This brings us to G.Q.'s latest acquisition. Assassin's Creed Shadows had its fair share of controversy from the moment the first trailer was released. However, this didn't keep G.Q. from placing a pre-order for the collector's edition for what was sure to be an interesting release. After a brief delay, the game has finally arrived.
