MAG Red Tide Part 1 Interview YouTube Description

Mobile Accessible Games had an opportunity to interview Adam Gerthel from Act None. Adam is the developer of the Eldrum series (Untold and Red Tide). Act None’s latest release, Red Tide, is a sprawling and comprehensive open world text adventure RPG. As you play Red Tide, the world and the characters will change based on actions you have taken to advance the story. This dynamic response makes Red Tide feel like a fully realized world that the player has true agency in shaping. Adam discussed how his early love of table top RPGs was the origin of the Eldrum series. Adam leveraged his skills in web development to create a custom game engine that created a branching text RPG narrative. Adam explained how he learned about the need for accessibility and the efforts he had to take to add accessibility features to the Red Tide custom game engine.

Eldrum: Red Tide has an extensive Achievements system. We discussed how I only encountered 65% of the available content during my first game playthrough. Red Tide’s Achievement list strengthens the game’s overall replay ability.
