The bridge has been built on river Hoogly, Westbengal, India to reduce over load and traffic on the famous Howrah bridge. It has been supported by number of cables look like ropes connected to the main supporting poles erected from the base of the river. Its known as Bidya Sagar Setu. The Nearest station to this second bridge of Westbengal is Shalimar.Length-822.96 meters (2,700 ft), Opened on 10th October 1992. We create an awareness among the people to keep it clean, don't spit on the bridge or throw any garbage into the river from this bridge. It is the pride of our country.
