Yamaha | Classic Electric Guitars Part Two: The Yamaha Guitar Archive

Описание к видео Yamaha | Classic Electric Guitars Part Two: The Yamaha Guitar Archive

In this second Classic Electric Guitars video, Paul Hindmarsh explores the Yamaha Guitar Archive, containing Yamaha guitar and bass prototypes that in many cases were so unusual and futuristic looking that there was concern the world might not be ready for them. Among the many treasures Hindmarsh uncovers is a 1965 prototype of the GSX33B—the very first electric guitar that Yamaha ever built. Others include a 1973 SB75 bass that was the precursor to the BB line, an experimental guitar made from alternate materials without a conventional guitar body, an RGXA2 with a mirror finish, an early ’90s Pacifica1230S prototype built for display at the 1993 NAMM Show, a 2003 SG2000 Double Neck with standard and extended necks and a Hawaiian koa top, and an early Revstar prototype with “café racer” cosmetics.
