There are a few different types of custom night stretching AFO‘s available for pediatric patients with tightness in the gastrocnemius or “heel cords”. Cascade DFO offers one of the more common options which is the number nine nighttime stretching AFO with stretching straps which attached from the calf down to the forefoot.

In this video, Gabriel describes how to properly put on his AFO and suggestions for how to use and adjust them in order to help make sure that your pediatric patient tolerates the orthosis and gains the most benefit!
