Here is an experiment of mine. The 1988 film "Colors" has had a commercial release of it's soundtrack but the score performed by Herbie Hancock has remained unreleased. This track is an updated version of the first unreleased track I uploaded back in 2021. This version is much cleaner and clearer although there is still traces of background noise. This track is an instrumental of the music played right after the driveby on the 21st Street Gang's house party and the realization by McGavin (aka Pac-Man) that his girlfriend belongs to the streets. It's a very dark and intense beat, playing during the investigation by the LAPD into the death of a neighbor's wife. I've been trying to track down this unreleased score for years and even tweeted Herbie Hancock about it but to no avail. So for this project, I came across a copy of Colors that had a German audio track with 6 channels. I was excited since the only release of the film, ever, only had a 2.0 mono track. Unfortunately, there was no audio track to isolate. I ended up ripping my Shout Factory blu ray and using Audacity's vocal isolation effect and passing it through Splitter.AI, it's nowhere near perfect. There are still traces of the dialogue and dogs barking but for now, this is the best I could get it sounding. Enjoy!
