I put out some nesting materials; Australian magpie approves! Australian birds

I put together a nesting station for our magpies – well, Her really, since She does all the work. When I saw Her swiping coconut fibre from a container in the nursery I put it on a log near the birdbath so I could film Her taking it. After a poor install initially, I fixed it and She can use it easily now.

It sounds strange when She sings with her mouth full of fibre at 3:38. Her singing is much clearer at 6:25. And at about 8:27 onwards it's like Movember came early...

The fibre is from an old matteress. I used it in a few hanging baskets when I transplanted some basket ferns

There was a b6-hour power outage yesterday and I hadn't planned around it. This meant I couldn't get this sorted and up yesterday. Still, no harm no foul – there was no afternoon visit yesterday so no bale footage.
