रेमल तूफान का पश्चिम बंगाल के तटीय इलाके कैनिंग में लैंडफॉल हुआ। पश्चिम बंगाल के सागर आईलैंड और बांग्लादेश के खेपुपारा के बीच 135kmph की रफ्तार से हवाएं चलीं। साथ ही तेज बारिश हुई। तूफान के कारण पश्चिम बंगाल के तटीय इलाकों में भारी तबाही हुई है। कई इलाकों में पेड़ उखड़ गए, घर ढह गए, बिजली के खंभे भी उखड़ गए। साथ ही सुंदरवन के गोसाबा इलाके में मलबे की चपेट में आने से एक व्यक्ति घायल हुआ।
Cyclone Remal Live Updates: Severe cyclonic storm 'Remal' weakened into a cyclonic storm on Monday morning, sustaining wind speeds of 80-90 kilometres per hour, following landfall around midnight of Sunday, the Met Department said. The weather system, which lay 150 km northeast of Sagar Island at 5.30 am, brought torrential rain in Kolkata and the coastal districts of West Bengal overnight, it said.
