Legendary Big Ten game, one of the few where the conference championship game down to the final game of the regular season. Indiana was missing star senior Mike Woodson for most of the Big Ten season, but freshman Isiah Thomas, senior Butch Carter, and forward Ray Tolbert helped to keep the Hoosiers near the top of the standings all season. Meanwhile, Ohio State entered the season as a top 5 team, and were led by future NBA talents Herb Williams and Clark Kellogg. The Buckeyes won four in a row heading into this game, while Indiana had won five in a row. NBC sent the A-team to Bloomington to broadcast. What followed was a classic basketball game from start to finish, one that couldn't be settled in just 40 minutes.
