Описание к видео I FOUND IT! The process video for monstera leaf embellishments!

Welcome! Thank you so much for joining me today. You are so appreciated! I hope you find this video helpful and informative. I did cut an hour and a half of content down to under 20 minutes in respect for your time but if you have questions about any steps or products, please ask in the comments section and I will do my best to help you.
The video for the original piece that I embellished over is here:    • 14 pigments in ONE PAINTING! All the ...
My paint skin for this was created in this video:    • Creating swiped bloom skins for embel...
I thought I'd lost the videos for this instruction topic but fortunately found them by searching by file name. I didn't realize I had saved them to the wrong folder! It happens but I'm thrilled to have located them and not lost them. A lot of time, effort and work went into this piece. I love how it came out so I'm grateful to be able to share the process. I will always respect the time you give me out of your life which is why I cut out the unneccessary parts and speed up reduntant areas. I hope you are able to get the idea and make use of my knowledge for your own artistry.
I covered all the materials used in the video so I won't reiterate that here. They are simple products that are widely available. Brand doesn't matter except where your pigments are concerned. I chose Pearlx solar gold because of it's intensity, brightness, shininess and overall quality. It does seem to stay put much better than other brands when burnishing over painted surfaces.
When I added additional details for the leaves, i.e. the soft curved lines following the shape of the leaves, I used solar gold mixed into amsterdam light gold with a small amount of olive green. All of the shadowing was done with Grumbacher payne's gray, no black acrylic was used. It's effect is deepened and intensified by layering wet of fully dry paint. You can control the depth that way.
I always coat all of my pieces with Kamar archival varnish for 2 reasons: the most important reason is the protect my color quality and prevent fading and yellowing. My secondary reason is that it seals down any pigments so they don't float up into my top coat or resin and spread out. They tend to want to travel, Kamar varnish stops that.
The brushes I used are what I have on hand in my collection. Having a variety of shapes, sizes, textures and styles will help you figure out how to get where you need to go with your paint. I can't be more specific because it's knowledge your learn through practice and experience. It's important to note that I used a very soft, flexible 1 inch wide fan brush for the lines over the leaves. I wet them to separate the bristles, dab off the water and load them with a little paint which also gets dabbed off so it's not too heavy. Again, practice and experience guide you.
To reiterate, I am available to answer any questions you may have but keep in mind, not all questions have the answers you expect. There is no shortcut to experience so art your heart out! Do all the things at least once! Try everything even if it doesn't come out the way you want! Failure is as much a part of learning as success!!! I can't emphasize that enough. I can show you how I do things but there are a hundred ways to get from point a to point z, some better than others. You do it your way!
