How to remove or replace your Vitamix's blades without any special tools

Vitamix sells a $10 plastic wrench to remove the blades from your blender canister, but I didn't want to buy it so this is how I removed the blades without their proprietary tool. *As mentioned in the video, proceed with this method at your own risk!* So far so good for my blender, though!

When I filmed this video I had already removed the blades so the video is kind of in reverse order, but you can also see how I put the blades back on!
