A Day After TRS BJP Clashes,BJP Meets State EC To Ensure Strict Action Is Taken Against The Violence

The political parties approached the EC to ensure that stringent action is taken against the violence. This comes after On the final day of the Munugode by-election campaign in Telangana's Nalgonda, a fight allegedly broke out between TRS and BJP activists. The by-election in the constituency is set on Thursday. The TRS cadre attacked the campaign van of former minister and BJP legislator Eatala Rajender with stones and sticks at Palivela village, Munugode block, injuring the MLA's gunner. In retaliation, BJP workers threw stones at TRS workers who were on their way to a rally addressed by the party's working president and state minister K T Rama Rao (KTR). The police used force to disperse the warring party cadres.The TRS and BJP leaders exchanged accusations about the violence.
