This is one of the new Cold Steel models with the upgrade to CTS-XHP steel. I was trying to think which models would this actually matter for? The super steel won’t really matter for some of their “weapon” type knives. But, for a knife like the Hold Out III Folder, the steel upgrade turns an okay EDC knife into an incredible EDC knife. The Hold Out III was already very slim, very light, and has a very strong lock, so this upgrade to the steel is really just the final feature it needed to become true high quality EDC.
