Lauren Whipple, MD, microsurgeon at PRMA in San Antonio, shares a presentation of meticulous and artistic anatomical illustrations she uses to compassionately guide her patients through their breast reconstruction consult.

We hope to empower patients with information and knowledge to engage in a shared decision-making conversation with their surgeon.

Dr. Whipple and the team of microsurgeons she works with practice the co-surgeon model where each patient who has flap procedures for breast reconstruction has two microsurgeons in the OR attending to them during their procedure.
