With its NATO reporting name Foxbat, Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-25 is a supersonic interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft designed by the Soviet Union’s Mikoyan-Gurevich bureau, which was the last one being built before the retirement of Soviet’s aircraft designer, Mikhail Gurevich.
Foxbat is known to be one of combat aircrafts constructed primarily using stainless steel. Its first prototype flew in 1964 and entered the service in 1970. Featuring a superior radar and four air-to-air missiles, MiG-25 Foxbat is about 24 meters in length with the height of 6.1 meters. It also reportedly has an operational maximum speed of Mach 2.83 and was theoretically skilled to fly up to 89,000 ft.
