History of this shoe dates back to 1995 when Tinker Hatfield was looking for a material for a sneaker he had designed to resemble a convertible. The material he stumbled upon was patent leather - inspired by the shiny body of the car. From there Michael Jordan was seen sporting the Air Jordan 11 in the NBA season of 1995-1996, and now it is a common collectable for many sneaker heads!
