Designer Steven Alan and west elm president Jim Brett travel to India to create a special collection of textiles that are completely handcrafted using traditional techniques.

Along the way they meet master artisans, watch their ideas go from watercolor sketches to finished textiles, and prove that if you're having more fun, the product is always more exciting.

Through 2015, west elm has made a commitment to paying $35 million directly to artisans and hand-crafters in 15 countries. We're directly impacting the lives of 4,500 artisan workers and 18,000 family members.
