Inside the Queen's House, Greenwich SE10

Описание к видео Inside the Queen's House, Greenwich SE10

The Queen's House in Greenwich, south-east London is one of the most important buildings in British architectural history.

Designed by Inigo Jones in the early 17th century, the house is a thing of true beauty, representing the point at which architecture in Britain began to be regarded as an art-form in its own right.

In this video, we'll be exploring the history behind the Queen's House and, thanks to a kind invitation from the wonderful folk at the 'Royal Museums Greenwich Collection', I'll be showing you around outside the usual opening hours- which essentially means we're going to have this gorgeous building all to ourselves!
