Event Description:
Each session in this weekly series will include a brief expert presentation on the topic at hand, followed by a case presentation and discussion. Participants may submit cases for discussion prior to the presentation, with notification of the case chosen for each session sent ahead of time.

Session Topics:
Session 1: Depression & Anxiety
Session 2: ADHD
Session 3: Autism
Session 4: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

Learning Objectives (if applicable):
By the end of each session, participants will be able to:
1. Identify basic signs and symptoms of common psychiatric diagnoses.
2. Conceptualize how symptoms of psychiatric diagnoses can impact a student’s school day.
3. List common medications used to treat psychiatric diagnoses including potential benefits, risks, and side effects.
4. Identify specific supports and accommodations that can benefit students with psychiatric diagnoses who are struggling in school.
5. Identify resources for in school and community support and information for educators and families.

Intended Audience:
School staff (teachers, special education coordinators, licensed clinicians, administrators)
