This is a tracked vehicle i've been working on, this video just shows some of the steps of testing, various voltages used, etc. I have much work and re-design to do, but for it's first time together I think it worked quite well.

The tracks are from youth/kids snowmobile tracks. The motors are NPC black motors. I use a 5:1 gearbox from surplus center. All the body is HDPE plastic which I cut out on my CNC. There's no suspension.

On-board beagleboard computer (under utilized at the moment), high power WiFi access point. The remote control app is just an android app I threw together to send the right TCP packets to the bot. I'm gonna add two way communication to convey battery voltage, motor amp load, and wifi signal strength. Maybe make my phone beep/vibrate when the batteries low or i'm about to lose wifi signal.
