On February 7, 2023, a Hamilton City Police officer identified a wanted suspect and pursued him. The suspect attempted to evade capture by fleeing through a neighborhood, even entering another person's apartment. Another Hamilton PD officer spotted the suspect and successfully apprehended him. During the pursuit, the suspect dropped a weapon near the street. When officers attempted to recover it, they initially couldn't locate the weapon. Subsequent searches led to its discovery concealed in a tree behind the house. Upon reviewing surveillance footage, it became evident that a female in a robe had picked up the weapon and concealed it in the tree. The officers later returned to arrest her.
