Backpacking Europe Packing Guide: Osprey Porter 46 Backpack

Let's go over how to pack for backpacking Europe for months using an Osprey Porter 46. A comprehensive packing guide for a long trip across Europe. List of all items mentioned is at the end of this description.

2) If you are travelling from the US, get a Charles Schwab checking account. This bank reimburses all of your foreign ATM withdrawal fees at the end of each month (and also gives you a signup $100 bonus if you use a referral code that you can google). Too good to be true? It’s not.

3) Get insurance. Of course, you should get medical insurance. But also, do get insurance that covers your items in case of baggage theft, especially if you are travelling with electronics like me. Violent crime is rare in most touristy places in Europe but stealing is not that uncommon. I got the ISIC Premium insurance plan that covered everything. Bonus pointer: maybe make a video of what you are travelling with so you can prove to your insurance provider later that you were carrying it 😉

• Waist bag- all passports, immigration documents (if necessary), printed flight details and reservations
• Separate folder in bag: Photocopy of immigration documents, passport, visas, passport size photos
• Insurance documents (travel insurance+ credit card insurance)
• Wallet- 2 credit cards, 2 debit cards, insurance card,
10) Water-bottle- 32 OZ Blender bottle
11) Carabiners- to clip items on to backpack
12) Zip-lock bags + mini trash bags
13) Packing cubes- strongly recommend those
14) A few packs of instant coffee 😉
