A Valentine’s Day She’ll Never Forget

The plaintiff had her first date with the defendant on Valentine’s Day, and he showered her with gifts. However, the plaintiff soon discovered he was seeing another woman, and he gave the other woman the exact same gifts on Valentine’s Day. She’s suing him for breach of contract after the plaintiff bought jewelry under her name intended for the defendant, but he failed to pay her back. The defendant claims he believed he and the plaintiff would be a good match because they’re both single parents. He later found out the plaintiff was jealous, possessive, and sneaky. He’s countersuing the plaintiff for an unpaid loan after he reportedly gave the plaintiff money for rent. He’s also countersuing for defamation.
