This week is for the fashion heads! Your counselor is Dejan Poletan, a fashion producer and creative director currently serving as Bottega Veneta’s Global Head of Production.

Before he went in-house at Bottega, Dejan was a freelance producer working in the world of print and runway fashion who came on our show (then called Life with Caca) to discuss fashion and film production. He worked his way up from being the most helpful intern, cleaning showrooms and assisting on set, to eventually being hired by major fashion houses for his producing and creative direction. Through the challenges, he remained true to the reason he got into this business in the first place: to create the dream worlds that inspired him as a child.

Dejan breaks down the different avenues of fashion production, shares stories of backstage drama, and emphasizes the importance of returning to your “why” when things get hard. Looking back on this conversation, we’d say his advice is well worth following.
