The Trilor Arch Bar technique is a very adequate and affordable way to make a temporary prosthesis.

Here is the patient’s lower mandibular arch with four implants and multi-unit cylinders. Take a piece of pink wax and index the positions of the multi-unit cylinders.

Place a Try lor Arch bar under the wax and mark the holes. Use a lab handpiece and cut holes into the Try lor Arch bar. Place the Try lor Arch bar over the cylinders. Using a bur, trim down the Try lor Arch Bar.

Pick-up the cylinders in the Try lor bar using a resin cement such as Panavia. Then once complete, they are cut down to flush with the top of the bar. Trim the underside of the bar.

Hollow out the internal of the denture so it fits passively over the Try lor bar in preparation for the pickup. Create small holes in the top of the denture for long multi-unit cylinder screws to protrude through.

Syringe pink acrylic material into the denture. Place back onto the bar and complete pick-up. Cut off the flanges and pa lish the denture. Shave the underside of the denture to ensure it is convex and cleansable. The Try lor bar is completely encased.
