Fishing Planet #31 - S5 | Akhtuba Fishbone Mission - Part 2: UNIQUE Asp, Wels Catfish, & Northern Pike!

A legendary monster called the Leviathan Sturgeon was spotted in the farthest reaches of Akhtuba River! How this fantastic creature got here remains a mystery!

To catch this monster, you have to put together a special hook made from the skeletons of FIVE Northern Pikes that are more than 20 Lbs. in size. This means only the largest trophy-sized Northern Pike and UNIQUE sized! This is NO easy task, as the Akhtuba River is loaded with species that feed on the same baits and lures that are attractive to the Northern Pike, including the Wels Catfish, Beluga Sturgeon, and MORE!

Bring as many heavy bottom rods as you can along with at least one sizable float rod and casting rod. You are about to get busy!

As I discovered last time, completing this mission is no easy task! Only the largest of the trophy-sized and unique-sized Northern Pike exceed 20 Lbs. so catching the required five fish will not be easy. However, as you can see from this video, you will have one heck of a time catching not only enough fish to pay for your trip and/or licensing, but will also gain a large quantity of XP. I managed to catch six unique fish, including two personal bests, as well as more trophies that I could count! The Uniques included:
- 4 Unique Northern Pike
- 2 Unique Wels Catfish
- 1 Unique Asp

I also caught a total of six Beluga Sturgeon both on and off screen. Makes for a productive fishing trip, completing a monster mission, AND getting the Leviathan Sturgeon trophy at the end!
