Sleeper Awake! Why is the Feast of Trumpets significant to us today?

Описание к видео Sleeper Awake! Why is the Feast of Trumpets significant to us today?

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are the two High Holy Days in the Jewish calendar. The term Rosh Hashanah, meaning the Head of the Year, doesn’t occur in the Torah. It appears in Ezekiel Chapter 40 where actually it refers to the Spring season that is Aviv, the original beginning of the Calendar. The Torah defines the holiday in the seventh month simply as Yom Teruah, the festival of the blowing of the shofar, without going into any further explanation.

What is the significance or meaning to the church of a festival that is not explained in the Bible at all? The Bible says nothing about Divine Judgement on this day. Numbers 29:1 says that this is a day of blowing trumpets. However what is explained, is the call of the shofar. Watch the video below to find out more about the biblical importance of the Feast of Trumpets.
