Nikon Z 14-24 F2.8 S vs Z 14-30 F4 Lens : Which one is right for you?

I deep dive into the differences between the Nikon Z 14-24mm F2.8 S series lens and its smaller brother the Z 14-30mm F4 to see which one might be the right Ultra wide angle Nikon Mirrorless lens for you and the results were kind of surprising.

When you first look at the Nikon 14-24 F2.8 vs 14-30 F4 you would be forgiven to think one lens is clearly a lot better then the other but that assumption could be exactly where you are going wrong. As these two Nikon mirrorless S series lenses are totally different animals and they both have their serious advantages and uses.

The 12mm Lens I showed in the video is the Laowa 12mm Zero Distortion rectilinear lens and it's built like a tank :-)

If you know me well then, you probably know I like a bit of a bargain but hey don't we all and for me the 14-30mm F4 lens is a complete steal... So much so that I honestly can't praise it enough.
I used the 16-35 F4 F-mount lens for years and loved it but honestly since I bought the 14-30mm F4 lens the 16-35mm is just sitting on my shelf.
The 14-30 F4 is my favourite Nikon Mirrorless lens and it's literally always in my camera bag.

I have also had the privilege of using the 14-24 F2.8 lens and boy is that a beauty of a lens, it does outshine its 14-30mm brother in a few areas but then again that was always to be expected.
