What to Expect When You’re Collecting Suntup Editions.

I've been collecting Suntup Editions since 2018 and with every new release I am blown away. They're my favorite publisher both in the books they choose to do and how they do them.

I'm putting together a small series of videos to give collectors an idea of what to expect when buying from small press publishers. In this first installment, I'm focusing on Suntup Editions.

In this video, you'll learn about the price, pre-order process, shipping, quality, and what I consider the best in my collection.

NOTE: Apologies for some of the photos--it seems I needed to use a lint brush on more than one occasion.

ALSO: I forgot to mention in the video that you will want to keep the shipping boxes forever. It's a problem. You just won't be able to throw them out. They're too well made and great for transporting the books if you are moving.

ALSO ALSO: I forgot to mention that Suntup is the only publisher that gets exclusive shelves in my collection. I shelf them together instead of shelving by author as I do with the rest of my collection. I shelf my Suntups in order of announcement only defying that rule when Suntup publishes a book by an author they previously published. Then I shelf the author's works together.

ALSO ALSO ALSO: I didn't mention the paperweights and other things Suntup produces that liven up the shelves in an absolutely fun way.

ALSO ALSO ALSO ALSO: As mentioned in the comments, Suntup announced an Artist Edition line that's signed by the author and those are called Classic Editions. It's still the same price point and print run--only with the sweet addition of the author signature.
