Janet Redmond calls herself a possibility manager. That title is basically her reworking of the word therapist.

She was previously a trauma specialist, training psychotherapists and counsellors.

I reached out to Janet immediately after watching the Israel Adesanya documentary movie, “Stylebender.”

I thought this grandmother from Nelson in the campervan the surprise star of the film.

This is a podcast of two halves. We chat about her relationship with Issy and a little bit about who she is and what she does to help people. Then, she gets to work on me. This is not an easy listen. I don’t think I will ever go back and listen to it again.

Janet is an incredible human with an amazing gift. But I’ve been scared about sharing it. I guess because I still feel embarrassed when I cry or show some vulnerability. I know that allowing yourself to be vulnerable is a strength and not a weakness. And it’s something I encourage from my guests. But it is still something I am struggling with myself.
