Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) RCC is the most common malignancy linked to polycythemia. Tumor cells can produce excess EPO, stimulating red blood cell production.

Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) Liver tumors may also secrete EPO or EPO-like substances, leading to elevated hematocrit and hemoglobin levels.

Hemangioblastoma These vascular tumors of the central nervous system, especially in the cerebellum, can produce EPO and are often seen in von Hippel–Lindau syndrome.

Pheochromocytoma Rare adrenal tumors that may co-secrete EPO, especially in familial cases.

Uterine Leiomyomas (Fibroids) Though benign, some large fibroids have been reported to produce EPO and cause polycythemia.

Other Rare Tumors Including cerebellar astrocytomas, adrenal adenomas, and certain gastrointestinal cancers.
