The 2026 Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC has arrived as a new supercharged Mustang, that brings much of the high-end hardware of the limited-production Mustang GTD, to a more attainable performance-car package.

At its core is a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine, sourced from the GTD, and paired exclusively with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Although Ford has not yet released official horsepower figures, its output is expected to sit between the 500 hp of the standard Dark Horse and the 815 hp of the GTD.

Development alongside the GTD and the Mustang GT3 race car has resulted in significant upgrades over the base Dark Horse, including Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, forged suspension links, a magnesium strut brace, and next-generation MagneRide dampers, all contributing to improved chassis performance and handling.

An optional Track Pack enhances track capability further with carbon-fiber wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, and advanced aerodynamics featuring a ducktail decklid and rear wing, that together generate approximately 620 lbs of downforce at high speed, while also reducing weight.

The Dark Horse SC’s interior adopts performance-oriented elements from the GTD, such as a flat-bottom steering wheel with integrated controls, Alcantara and carbon-fiber trim, and optional Recaro seats, along with a variable traction control system that offers multiple levels of electronic assistance.

Pricing details are not yet available, but rumours say that it will be priced at around 100,000$.
