Everyone is yelling “heresy” over the Trinity and “Mother of God” — tonight we’re cutting through the noise with categories, Scripture, and actual logic.

People are being called heretics for not liking the phrase “Mother of God.” Others are told the Trinity is a logical contradiction. Some are terrified they aren’t even saved because they don’t understand “hypostatic union.”

In this live study, we’re going to slow everything down and walk through:
What the Bible actually teaches about one God in three Persons
Why the Logical Problem of the Trinity (LPT) fails once you stop abusing the word “is”
How to think clearly about Jesus as one Person with two natures
What “Mother of God” originally meant — and why Protestants aren’t Nestorians for avoiding it
How sloppy YouTube theology and confident teenagers can destabilize young believers

Christians who love Jesus but feel stupid or scared whenever Christology comes up
People confused by Oneness / modalist claims (“Jesus is the Father”)
Those who’ve been told, “You’re not saved because you believe in the Trinity.”

We’ll show from Scripture that:
The Trinity is a mystery, not a contradiction
Distinction is not separation in Christ’s two natures
You are not unsaved because you don’t speak like a 5th-century council

Do You Believe in Jesus Christ?

If you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that He grants eternal life to those who believe in Him, you already have eternal life (John 20:31; 1 John 5:1, 10-11). Though you may die physically, you will never die spiritually (John 11:25-27). Eternal life means dwelling with God and Christ forever in the New Heaven and New Earth (Revelation 21:1-4).

The Gospel of Jesus Christ
These are the essential truths of the gospel. If you haven’t yet believed in Jesus Christ, read below and believe today:

All Have Sinned
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
No one is without sin except Jesus Christ.

The Wages of Sin Is Death
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
God's justice demands eternal punishment for sin.

We Must Be Perfect to Enter Heaven
“And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth” (Revelation 21:27).
Only Jesus, as the perfect human, can meet this standard.

Salvation Cannot Be Earned
“For by grace are ye saved through faith... not of works” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Our actions cannot save us; salvation is a gift from God.

Christ Died for Our Sin
“Christ died for our sins... He was buried, and He rose again the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
Jesus paid the penalty for sin out of His love for us.

Believe to Receive Eternal Life
“He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47).
Believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and receive eternal life (John 20:31; 1 John 5:10-11).

You Can Be Sure of Eternal Life
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life” (1 John 5:13).
If you believe in Jesus, your salvation is secure forever (Hebrews 13:5).
