Aakash Odedra Company: Samsara

Описание к видео Aakash Odedra Company: Samsara

Samsara, performed by our Artistic Director Aakash Odedra and the Chinese dancer Hu Shenyuan, will be touring China in October and November 2023

Samsara, inspired by the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, traces the steps we take, both forward and backwards, in search of our higher selves. Drawing on thinking and imagery at the heart of Buddhist philosophy, it explores some of the 81 obstacles and 6 states of mind that can hold us back. Epic mythological storytelling merges with personal experience and anecdote from two globally opposite perspectives, in a highly visual landscape.

Performances in China:
21st-22nd October Grand Theater, Shanghai International Dance Center
28th-29th October Shenzhen Guangming Theatre
1st-2nd November Guangzhou Grand Theater
4th November Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre, Zhuhai
