In this presentation, Justin McPhee, one of our researchers at the THRIVE Project, discusses about the creation of solutions to the problems we face, and how they often fail to consider the needs of those who use them, especially those from culturally and linguistically-diverse backgrounds.

He discusses a solution - codesign, and why it's useful, its strengths and pitfalls, and an example from his previous experiences in how this can be used to gather information and understand people's needs, not just what creators perceive their needs to be.

We hope that by publishing these presentations, we can inspire researchers to explore these topics further, and help discover the means to a thrivable world.
