Miranda do Douro é uma cidade e sede de um concelho no distrito de Bragança. Nesta região, além do português, fala-se o mirandês, segunda língua oficial em Portugal. A Capa de Honra é um ícone da identidade mirandesa, é feita de burel (pura lã de ovelha). A gastronomia mirandesa inclui a posta à mirandesa, a vitela mirandesa, e o cordeiro mirandês, e não esquecer um enchido fumado a Tabafeia, feito de carne de aves e porco, pão regional de trigo, azeite, sal, alho, colorau ou pimenta e salsa. Para finalizar na doçaria tradicional, entre outros, destaca-se a deliciosa bola doce. No final do almoço... visite a cidade, mas a pé.
