The new Resurrection Trumpet dedicated to the memory of Benjamin Lane, the Canon Musician of the Cathedral Church of St. Luke for thirty years whom we sadly lost three years ago has finally been installed by R.A. Colby who built the beautiful chest three weeks ago.

The GORGEOUS copper pipes were made by AR Schopp's and is on a wind pressure of 8-3/4" and given the beautiful acoustics of the Cathedral, the stop has quite the presence in the room without being obnoxiously loud and thus offensive.

The original Trompette en Chamade made by the original builder of the organ in 1973 is above and center at the front of the organ facade and it's on either 3" or 4". In the partial rebuilding of the organ in 1999 by famed Gilbert Adams, he revoiced (as best he could) the original Trompette en Chamade giving it a much more fiery sound versus what came out of the Tellers factory in 1973. The results have been stunning, and even more so now with the addition of the Resurrection Trumpet.

Many, many thanks to Cathedral Musician Michael Petrosh and Ben's best friend Shannon Fore for their due diligence in seeing this wonderful project through to absolutely stunning results and as always, thank you to Cathedral Musician Michael Petrosh for his continued generosity towards me with use of this wonderful organ.
