Ministry of Defence shows off new range of military robotics

Robert Work (pictured), who was Deputy Defense Secretary under Barack Obama, said the U.S. armed forces will 'have to grasp the inevitability' of artificial intelligence. Work said Washington would use the weapons 'ethically' and predicted that AI could help to reduce civilian casualties. Beijing has developed a deadly unmanned drone bomber and a stealth combat drone in recent months, sparking fears of an AI arms race.
