Kalpana Patowary is the most celebrated chhath singer and her traditional Chhath Puja songs are evergreen. She has sung more than 500 Chhath songs. Her hit albums are Devru Daura Lela released in 2005, Aage Bilaiyya Peechhe Chhati Maiya, Chhathi Maiya Aaihein Hamaar, Aragh Le Lee Hey Chhathi Maiya, Chhath Karab in 2006, Ugi He Dinanath, Mahima Chhath Maiyya Ke Apar. In 2019, she has sung  around 10 singles released through different youtube channels.

Kalpana Patowary’s music video (   • #video | छठ गीत | Ugi Hey Dinanath | ...  ) on Chhath Song Portraying Communal Harmony went Viral in 2017. In the video, Kalpana sings how the festival majorly believed to be a Hindu festival is also celebrated by Muslim families in the region too. Kalpana said that she was surprised to know that Chhath is not only observed by Hindus but also by Muslims. Through the video, Kalpana conveys that Chhath doesn’t discriminate between caste and can be observed by people following different religions.

Her another Chhath song "Saiya Chali Aawa Karat Bani Chhath" from album "Aage Bilaiyya Peechhe Chhati Maiya" was nominated for best song in folk category in BIG STAR IMA AWARDS to be held on 11th March 2011 in Goregoan Sports ground, Mumbai.
